Kirkland Capital Group's First CAASA Event

We are pleased to share that we recently participated in our inaugural Canadian Association of Alternative Strategies & Assets (CAASA) event, the Family Office Summit, held on April 9-10 at the Toronto Region Board of Trade in Toronto, Canada. This gathering provided us with valuable insights into the Canadian family office landscape and enabled us to connect with industry experts not just from Canada but also from the United States and beyond.

Our Table Talk

As a sponsor of the Family Office Summit, we hosted a table discussion focusing on private credit within the micro-balance commercial real estate sector - a specialized market known for its appealing returns and minimal correlation with other asset classes. Our session drew in numerous participants eager to delve deeper into the realm of private credit in micro-balance commercial real estate in the United States. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, with inquiries pouring in from investors, family offices, and asset managers seeking alternative income streams and enhanced portfolio diversification.

The Family Office Summit served as a valuable networking opportunity for us.

Our Networking and Learning

The Family Office Summit served as a valuable networking opportunity for us, allowing us to connect with and gain knowledge from other professionals in the alternative investment field. We engaged with representatives across different sectors, including hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and infrastructure. Through these interactions, we shared perspectives and discussed best practices on various topics like private credit, risk management, due diligence, and deal sourcing. Additionally, we participated in keynote speeches and panel discussions featuring industry experts and thought leaders from the CAASA community.

Our Appreciation and Anticipation

We extend our gratitude to CAASA for orchestrating a fantastic event and extending an invitation for us to participate. The dedication and hard work exhibited by the CAASA team in planning and executing the Family Office Summit are truly commendable.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the participants, speakers, and sponsors whose contributions played a pivotal role in the event's success. We eagerly anticipate future CAASA gatherings and the opportunity to cultivate lasting connections with fellow members. CAASA's role as a key proponent of the alternative investment sector in Canada and globally is invaluable, and we are proud to be associated with such a reputable organization.
